![]() A lot is happening, and we could use your prayers. Please take a few minutes to pray for us for the following: 1- Liberty Student Prayer movement. God is moving among the students in Liberty University, which is being spearheaded by students who came from YWAM! (see some of them in the attached picture) Individually they felt a call to go to Liberty University, came together, and gathered other students to pray for revival. Please pray for wisdom. 2- Trip to Colorado (Oct 11-16). My cousin Tim passed. I will be facilitating the memorial service. Please pray for my trip and our family. 3- Pray for our trip to Colombia (Oct 18-29). Haydee and I will fly to Cartagena, Colombia, where I will be staffing the Team-Based Communication Master's program, and this will be our first intensive with this cohort. We have 19 students from 14 different countries. Pray for good health and staff travel. Pray for negative COVID tests. Also, pray for our time together. Thank you for taking the time to pray for us! ![]() We are now in Lynchburg, VA! Now What? God is opening doors. We are building new relationships. But first, what just happened? This Past Month: We loaded up the moving truck and moved to Lynchburg on the 1st & 2nd of August. We helped move Alonso and his family’s (the other family who joined us) things on August 1 and then our family on the 2nd. Even though we physically moved to Lynchburg, our commitment to Richmond was not quite done. Throughout August, I was still Pastoring the Filipino Church in Richmond, which meant a lot of driving back and forth. Also, at the end of the month, we had our YWAM Virginia Staff conference in Petersburg, VA. It was there that YWAM Virginia commissioned our team to pioneer YWAM Lynchburg. And the last weekend of the month, we handed over the church to the incoming Pastor. What a full month! What are we doing? After a week of moving here, our YWAM Lynchburg Team met regularly for our weekly worship, teaching, prayer, and intercession. We are meeting people and getting to know the city. I have learned that several faculty in Liberty University used to staff in YWAM; some are Michaella's professors! We want to connect with them, hear their stories, and build more relationships. We are praying and planning to get to know key people in the body of Christ in Lynchburg. A couple of days ago, I finished teaching online with YWAM Virginia Beach's DTS staff training. Also, we already met a group of Filipinos, and Haydee was able to attend the women's Bible study. Just recently, I learned that my cousin Tim passed away. I will be flying shortly to Colorado on October 11-16 to join his celebration of life service. After that, Haydee and I will fly to Colombia on October 18 for the Masters in Team-based Communication Intensive, which I am staffing. I am still teaching in DTSs in person and online. Thank you: God has been faithful. He has provided a house for us, and we are settling in Lynchburg. Thank you to everyone who has partnered with us through your prayers and financial support. We are so grateful to you. In His service, Campbell Family Prayer Points:
![]() In a crazy housing market, God provided a house for us in Lynchburg! How we got here: We have been looking for a place for a while. We were asking around and looking online. Also, our family daily prayed a home would open up. We had a couple of other houses we looked at, but it was clear it wouldn’t work out. With this house, I requested to look at it a month ago and didn’t hear back. I assumed it was taken since it only takes a few days for a house on the market to be rented. I had forgotten the place and one day got a call if we wanted to look at the house! Within 24 hours, I was filling out an application, and a day after, I signed a lease! God is good! When we are moving: We are moving on August 1 and 2. We will share a truck with another family joining us in the pioneering YWAM Lynchburg campus. You may ask, “Why share a truck?” Right now, renting a moving truck can be expensive and hard to book. Pray, we can move two families in two days. Looking forward: I will head to Cartagena, Colombia, in mid-October, staffing the Team-based Communication Master’s program. Currently, we have over ten applicants, and many are YWAM leaders from around the world. It is a privilege to impart to this batch and learn from them. Also, I am looking forward to learning from them. Furthermore, I will speak in a DTS online the last week of July while our kids help out with the summer team in Richmond. With this move, we will lose our income from the church and face higher costs in Lynchburg. We have seen our support increase, but we are still short 40% of our need. Would you support us monthly or increase your monthly support to get us to 100%? You can do so through our website by Clicking Here. Thank you for your generosity. We are so grateful for your partnership with us. In His service, Campbell Family Prayer Points:
![]() So how did this happen? What will you be doing now? Read on to see how this is all coming together. How we got here: God spoke to YWAM Virginia more than ten years ago about starting a YWAM location in Lynchburg, VA. The question has been about timing. God spoke to YWAM Virginia to pioneer in Virginia Beach, which launched over three years ago. But last year, God started pressing Chris Zinchuck (YWAM Virginia’s Director) that this is the time to open a location in Lynchburg. Around the same time, I felt God speaking to us about moving there. Since then, we have taken several trips to meet with other local leaders to pray and seek what God has been doing. Also, one other family from YWAM Richmond will join us. We plan to move there the first week of August. What we will be doing: Lynchburg is the home of Liberty University, the world's largest Christian university. They have around 80 nationalities attending, along with missionary kids from around the world. God has been speaking to us about hospitality. We want to host overseas missionaries who visit their kids and help the missionary kids and internationals with their transition and culture shock. We could also provide member care to the missionaries coming in. We will also be supporting Lynchburg House of Prayer. We will be taking a year to get to know leaders in the body of Christ, see how God is already moving in the city, and see how we can join in. Outside of that, I will be staffing the Masters in Team-based Communication Program with the University of the Nations. I will be traveling to Colombia in October. I am still teaching in DTSs in person and online. What we are facing: We are still looking for a house to live in Lynchburg. As you may know, I have been an Interim-Pastor of a Filipino Church in Richmond. We have been talking to a potential Pastor to come in and take over the church. As you know, the only way we can do what we do is through financial gifts. With us moving, we will lose our income from the church and face higher costs in Lynchburg. We need to raise $3000 a month. Lots of taken place since we started the New Year. Click to watch to hear what is happening with us! ![]() Two years ago, when I started my Masters, I knew that Michaella would graduate from High School when I was finishing up. So many things happened along the way. COVID changed everyone’s life. I had seven friends pass, two from COVID. And last March our whole family had COVID. Ministry changed. In YWAM Richmond ministries we have been doing for decades came to an abrupt end and new ministries started. Then amid the COVID peak, I stepped into our Filipino church as interim- Pastor. None of this could have been foreseen. With Michaella graduating and me finishing up my Masters it brought me into a time of reflection. Around 25 years ago, I left for the Philippines that started my mission career. I met Haydee and had the privilege of raising three kids. Even during these crazy past two years, God has been faithful. God has been good. Now we look forward to what God has for us in the future. So what is ahead? Currently, Michaella is at Liberty University. She is doing well, and God is providing for her (thank you to those who have given to help with her tuition). I have joined staff with the College of Communication Master’s program with the University of the Nations. In April, we are running a seminar. In late September, we will start a tri-lingual (Portuguese, Spanish, and English) Master’s program. This would have intensives in different countries in Latin America. I am still planning to be teaching in DTSs. I just finished teaching in Myrtle Beach and plan to teach in YWAM Lancaster in May. Haydee will continue with Member Care and head our hospitality in YWAM Richmond. I am seriously considering joining the Intercultural Studies Ph.D. program with Columbia International University in August. I want to continue the research I started in my Masters. There are many reasons why I would want to do a Ph.D., but there are two main ones that I have in my heart. First, I would like to develop tools for missionaries to be more effective in a cross-cultural context. Second, help missionaries stay on the field when dealing with cross-cultural conflict. I would hope that my research could help YWAM missionaries and other missionaries walk in their calling. We couldn’t do what we do without your generous support. Would you remember us through your year-end-giving? You could do so clicking here. It is with deep appreciation that we thank you for your partnership. Blessings to you and your family as we enter this season of celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! Campbell Family Prayer Points - Prayer for wisdom as we juggle everything we are doing. Pray for what we should be doing and what we should not be doing. - God would continue to lead and provide for Michaella with her studies. - God would lead Lemuel and Justin as they pray for their future. ![]() As you have heard from my dad, last August I started my freshman year at Liberty University. I am majoring in International Relations and studying to be a foreign service officer. At Liberty, I’m also taking several religion classes where I am learning more about the Bible and God. I’m so grateful to be here and experience how God is maturing me as I walk with Him. God has been so faithful in providing a way for me to be here. Through Him, most of my tuition is covered by grants and academic scholarships. The remaining costs come from my housing and dining plan. As of now, I need about $4000 to cover the rest of my school year. Would you give toward my tuition? You can do so by clicking here for information. Anything above the $4000 that comes in will be credited toward my tuition next year. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Michaella Campbell ![]() So much has happened, so let me give you our family’s update. What we did: Since September of 2019, I have been working on my Master’s degree and thesis while Michaella has been finishing up high school. When COVID hit in 2020, the pastor of our Filipino church resigned. Since then, I have been an interim pastor. Furthermore, with YWAM Richmond we have been actively reaching our neighbors (around 3000 homes), going door to door, giving people masks, Bibles, and the opportunity to know Jesus Christ! Plus, we ran different training schools and seminars. Also, I have been teaching in Discipleship Training Schools via Zoom and in person in the States. Let us not forget Haydee and I have been mentoring others in Asia and the States through Zoom and calls. What we are doing: I finished my Master’s degree, and Michaella finished high school and will be attending Liberty University this fall. We are still pastoring our small church and are seeing people come back in person and some growth. I will be teaching in the DTS in Myrtle Beach this November. Also, I have been writing some articles for YWAM explaining cross-cultural applications of our values. Moreover, we are preparing for a Trilingual DTS in February! What we are dreaming: I am praying that more doors will open to travel again. I could not accept some international teaching opportunities due to COVID travel restrictions. I am hoping we can travel more in the future. Also, I have been invited to join staff in the next Team-Based Communication Master’s degree program for the University of the Nations. We will run an online seminar in March of 2022 and start the two-year track in September of 2022. As you know, the only way we can do what we are doing is through financial gifts. With inflation, we require more support. Will you support us monthly? You can do this by clicking here. Thank you for your generosity. We are so grateful for your partnering with us.
