"Are we in HomaHoma (Oklahoma)?" Justin was asking as we entered Texas. "No we are in Texas now," I replied. "We are not in Oklahoma." "So we are not in OkaHomaHoma anymore?" Justin is so cute. But yes he does struggle figuring out what State or city we are currently in! If you like you can see some of our road trip pictures on our website. Is homeschooling easy on the road? No, but it ispossible and very educational! We are enjoying this season where our children can learn more about their other culture (USA). Our kids have been to places that most kids (or a lot of adults) never get to see. They experience different cultures, learn about people, and histories of the places we visit. We were asked a lot, "How do you and your kids handle traveling so much?" Our family loves to travel but at the same time we can always looked back and see God's grace as we travel. We have been traveling a lot the past 4 years. It is not for everyone. And honestly, I don't know how long God will have us doing this. But for now, we are making the best out of it and thanking God for all the adventure of faith along the way. So far we have driven over 2000 miles within a week and a half. That is a lot of highways! And considering we have 3 kids packed in a car we are doing good by God's grace. We left Colorado a day early due to bad weather and made our way to Arizona. As you can tell in the picture there was snow on the ground and the roads where not in great shape. But we did finally arrived in Phoenix, AZ where we were greeted by the Wunsch family. Their 5 kids and our kids hit it off and they had a blast! We enjoyed touching base with Ryan and Rebekah while our kids got to know each other and played a lot! From there we drove to Tulsa, OK to visit Geoff and Erica Logan who were with us back in YWAM Davao. We have not seen their family for 4 years and it was great to see them and learn about what God is doing in their lives. A few days ago we arrived in Arlington, TX staying with Jacob and Denise DeLuna. Denise is our very good friend used to be staff with Haydee a number of years back in Davao. For sure there is more to come and we are very excited on what the Lord prepared for us. |
