We are back from Asia, and We are Buying a House!

You heard it right. We are buying a house! About a month ago, in prayer, Haydee felt God telling her it was time to buy a house. She asked for some confirmation, which God provided in short order. Financially, it didn’t make sense to us, but I learned I could use some of our Roth IRA for the down payment. Also, we received a $22,000 gift, which helped us sign on a house! ​Justin, Haydee, and I shortly after Thanksgiving flew to the Philippines and met up with Michaella, who had been there since September. A few days later, I flew to Thailand with Michaella to teach Godly Relationships in Chiang Rai, Thailand, at the YWAM base where we used to live. I even had Michaella teach some of the time (she did great).  It was so good to see old friends and meet new ones.

After a week in Thailand, we met up with Haydee and Justin in Manila and flew to Davao, the city where we used to live and where Lemuel was doing his Discipleship Training School (DTS)! I taught about Identity, and we spent time with Lemuel. We did a lot of one-on-ones with the staff and met up with old friends. We also had the chance to spend Christmas with Lemuel! Next April, we have a full month. The first week, I will attend a board meeting in New Brunswick, Canada, for a new YWAM location. The following week, I will staff an online intensive for the U of N Master's program I am a part of. In the third week, I will be in Orlando, FL, for a YWAM leaders’ meeting. In the midst of that, we close on the house on April 18 and will be doing our best to get everything moved. Click to read more
