Two years ago, when I started my Masters, I knew that Michaella would graduate from High School when I was finishing up. So many things happened along the way. COVID changed everyone’s life. I had seven friends pass, two from COVID. And last March our whole family had COVID. Ministry changed. In YWAM Richmond ministries we have been doing for decades came to an abrupt end and new ministries started. Then amid the COVID peak, I stepped into our Filipino church as interim- Pastor. None of this could have been foreseen. With Michaella graduating and me finishing up my Masters it brought me into a time of reflection. Around 25 years ago, I left for the Philippines that started my mission career. I met Haydee and had the privilege of raising three kids. Even during these crazy past two years, God has been faithful. God has been good. Now we look forward to what God has for us in the future. So what is ahead? Currently, Michaella is at Liberty University. She is doing well, and God is providing for her (thank you to those who have given to help with her tuition). I have joined staff with the College of Communication Master’s program with the University of the Nations. In April, we are running a seminar. In late September, we will start a tri-lingual (Portuguese, Spanish, and English) Master’s program. This would have intensives in different countries in Latin America. I am still planning to be teaching in DTSs. I just finished teaching in Myrtle Beach and plan to teach in YWAM Lancaster in May. Haydee will continue with Member Care and head our hospitality in YWAM Richmond. I am seriously considering joining the Intercultural Studies Ph.D. program with Columbia International University in August. I want to continue the research I started in my Masters. There are many reasons why I would want to do a Ph.D., but there are two main ones that I have in my heart. First, I would like to develop tools for missionaries to be more effective in a cross-cultural context. Second, help missionaries stay on the field when dealing with cross-cultural conflict. I would hope that my research could help YWAM missionaries and other missionaries walk in their calling. We couldn’t do what we do without your generous support. Would you remember us through your year-end-giving? You could do so clicking here. It is with deep appreciation that we thank you for your partnership. Blessings to you and your family as we enter this season of celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! Campbell Family Prayer Points - Prayer for wisdom as we juggle everything we are doing. Pray for what we should be doing and what we should not be doing. - God would continue to lead and provide for Michaella with her studies. - God would lead Lemuel and Justin as they pray for their future.
