At the beginning of the year, we were in the Philippines. We knew that there would be changes for us, but we had no idea of what would happen. We came back to North Carolina in January and hit the ground running. In February we visited YWAM Richmond, VA and talked and prayed about moving here. March I spoke in an Asian youth conference in Maryland, Haydee had surgery, and we moved to Richmond. April we settled into Richmond. May and June we started to host Summer Teams and I took leadership over volunteers. July we went to Canada where I spoke in a youth camp, Michaella was a camp counselor. Once we got back, I joined the leadership team in YWAM Richmond and became the training director and Haydee took over Hospitality at the base and became part of the Member Care Team. September we started the Discipleship Training School (DTS) and the English Language and Culture school in Richmond. Late September going into October I went to Canada for my first module for my Master’s degree. When I got back 3 days later Haydee flew to the Philippines to teach in the DTS in YWAM Butuan on Godly Relationships along with meeting and debriefing. While she was gone I spoke in the DTS in Richmond on Identity. And the year is not over! We are planning to visit Colorado and Texas in the next couple of months. We are wanting to meet up with our family and friends and catch up with everyone. Thank you for all of your prayers and/or financial support this past year. There is not a day that passes where we are not humbled by all of you who walk with us on this journey. Words truly can’t express our gratitude. We do ask you to remember us through your year-end-giving. Would you continue your generous support by CLICKING HERE? It is with deep appreciation that we thank you for your partnership. Blessings to you and your family as we enter this season of celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! Campbell Family Prayer Points

This past summer has been very busy. YWAM Richmond hosted 9 summer teams, took a trip to Canada, and finished our staff retreat. We have been functioning at a very fast pace. Since becoming the Training Director I have been getting up to speed on our upcoming schools and seminars. This month we will start our English, Language, & Culture (ELC) and our Discipleship Training School (DTS) so the past week we have been getting everything ready. Also this month, I (Dustin) will start my Master’s in Team-Based Communication with the University of the Nations! On September 27, I will start my drive to New Brunswick, Canada. Michaella will be coming along for the ride and we will be back in Virginia around Oct 14th. Then on October 17 Haydee and Justin will fly to the Philippines. Haydee will be teaching on Godly Relationships in YWAM Butuan’s DTS and they will be back on October 31. While Haydee is gone I will be teaching on Identity and Destiny in the DTS at Richmond. Thank you to all of you who have supported our ministry on a monthly basis and through one time gifts. We are so grateful for you. We still need more monthly support. Will you support our ministry monthly or raise your support by Clicking Here? Thank you so much for standing by us. In His service, Campbell Family Prayer Points: - Safety in all of our travels (Dustin’s and Michaella’s drive to Canada and Haydee’s and Justin’s flights to the Philippines).
We are pretty settled in Richmond and learning more as the days go by. This summer we have 6 Summer Teams coming in and had 4 of them already. Different churches bring their youth or adults to our location to receive teaching, serve, and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in Richmond. They are powerful weeks were those who are participating experience breakthrough and we see people coming to know the Lord! Also, this summer I (Dustin) have been asked to lead our volunteers. They are a great group with servant's hearts. Most of them are from Brazil and are still learning English, so that can be a challenge. Haydee will be heading up hospitality and helping in the kitchen. Also in July, we went to Forest Cliff Camp in Canada once again. I (Dustin) served as their weekly speaker while Michaella was a camp counselor. There were over 200 kids and we saw about half accept Jesus Christ into their hearts! God showed up! (Click here to see pictures) I also wanted to let you know that the leadership has asked me to become the Training Director. This role oversees all of the schools/training on the base. This location has a long history and I am humbled and honored to be trusted with this role. Also, Haydee has taken lead over hospitality. Please do keep us in your prayers. Thank you for you who have supported us on a monthly bases and through one time gifts. We have recently lost one of our major supporters. We have had new supporters join the team, but we still need more committed monthly support. With me starting my Master’s degree, increase in the cost of living, and expected ministry cost, we needing to raise $2800 more a month. Will you support our ministry monthly or raise your support by CLICKING HERE? There is not a day that goes by that we thank God for you who support and/or pray for us! Thank you so much standing by us. In His service, Campbell Family Prayer Points: - Haydee’s continue healing.
If you have been following us on Facebook you know I (Dustin) spoke in a youth conference in Baltimore. It was a powerful night and the youth were very responsive. On our way back to Charlotte we stopped by Richmond in hopes to find a place, but it didn’t work out. We were pretty discouraged. We were referred to a real estate agent to help us. Over the weekend, we found a house in the area we wanted. We had a video walkthrough with the agent, applied and prayed. And six days before we had to move we signed a lease for a house in Richmond! God is so good! Also, with Haydee’s surgery things moved quickly. Her date was moved up and she went into surgery and everything went well. But it did make packing more of a challenge since she couldn’t carry more than 10 pounds. But, we made it! Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement. I wanted to let you know that this September I will start working on my Master’s degree in Team-Based Communication with the University of the Nations! I am looking forward to learning more and the challenge. It will require me to travel twice a year for lectures and 10 hours per week on homework. We also like to thank everyone who has given over and above their regular giving in the past couple of months to help us in our move. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Also, thank you to those who helped us move and those who have been praying for us. Truly, there is no way we can do what we do without your faithful support. Thank you. With grateful hearts, Campbell Family Prayer Points:
The week before we left for the Philippines the owner of the house we have been living in told us that he was going to sale the house. After much prayers and communication with YWAM Richmond we have committed to move there.
When we arrived back from the Philippines Haydee had a check up with her doctor. That followed by a diagnostic mammography, an ultrasound, and a biopsy. There is a mass they found that was non cancerous (Praise God), but still needs to be removed. We meet with a surgeon and the surgery is scheduled for March 8 (this Friday). We will be giving updates on Haydee on our website at www.dhcampbell.org/news--updates as the situation changes. So last week, the house we have been living in went on the market. Within 3 days the house was under contract and they want to finalize the sale on March 29. So in short, we have to move out by March 29. We would like to move to Richmond as soon as possible, but as of now there are no houses for rent in the area and our health insurance is tied up with our residence in North Carolina. With Haydee’s surgery and follow ups. We maybe putting our things into storage and stay with a friend in Charlotte until we have housing in Richmond and Haydee is cleared medically. So we are not sure of dates we will be in Richmond. As you can tell, there is a lot of moving parts for us right now. We have some extra moving expenditures, Will you give toward our move by CLICKING HERE? With thankful hearts, Campbell Family Prayer Points: - Haydee’s healing.
Video on YWAM RichmondLast February 14, Haydee had a bilateral diagnostic mammography and targeted breast ultrasound. She was having some discharge and we wanted to have it checked out. After the diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound they saw a small mass. So a week later they scheduled a biopsy that happened last Friday. This morning we have the results.
The good news is that there is no cancer (praise the Lord!). But they did find a mass called an Intraductal Papilloma. The only way to treat it is through surgery. We will be meeting with a surgeon within the next week to schedule a surgery. We do ask for your prayers. Also, we have learned that the owner of the house we are living in are selling the house. So we will be moving by the end of March or April. There are some very big changes coming up that will be in our next newsletter so keep on the look out for that. But as for now, please pray for healing for Haydee and also our upcoming move. There are lot of things moving at the same time. We do appreciate all your prayers, thank you! We had a busy summer where we had the privilege to share in the River of God in Maryland, visit my sister and her family in New Hampshire, and speak at Forest Cliff Camp in Ontario, Canada. A lot of “God things” took place on the trip, but I want to share one with you. At the camp, I was their weekly speaker. I spoke in 10 sessions throughout the whole week with about 200 kids between the ages of 6 to 12 years old. About half of them are not from a church background. When I shared the gospel and seeing a group of kids praying to receive Christ, I was almost moved to tears. That was a powerful night. This trip couldn’t happen without people like you who invest in us in prayers and financial support. I also want to thank all of you who prayed for us and called us during Hurricane Florence. We didn’t lose power and had no flooding in our house. We didn’t lose power and had no flooding in our house. But as you know North Carolina and South Carolina are still dealing with flooding. Please keep those affected families and area in your prayers. Due to the lack of students enrolling for our Fall Discipleship Training School, we had to cancel. Because of that, coming this November 14, we (as a family) will be traveling to Asia along with Bradley, one of the staff here in Charlotte. I will be teaching in the DTSs in Butuan, Philippines and Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I will also take a week teaching YWAM staff in Battambang, Cambodia. There are some other ministry opportunities developing in the Philippines also. We will be back on January 16. Overall, we are excited about what God is going to do and the things that He prepared for us and through us! The great news is we have some really cheap tickets. We also had some money come in to help pay them! We currently need a little over $4500 to meet our total cost for the trip. Will you give on our website by CLICKING HERE. With thankful hearts, Campbell Family Prayer Points:
This summer we have had the privilege to help and serve in the urban shelter as a family. We helped prepare and serve the meals. Also, Haydee’s sister had the chance to come visit us for 10 days! She helped us out serving and we had an awesome time showing her around Charlotte on her first trip to the States. Her visit was a gift from the Lord! This week we will be leaving on a 3-week trip. Our first stop will be in Maryland I will be sharing in River of God Church this Sunday. From there we will drive to New Hampshire and visit my sister Phyllis and her family for a few days. Then we will head to Ontario, Canada. We will be at Forest Cliff Camp. Justin will be a camper, Lemuel will be in their leadership program, Michaella will be a counselor in training, and I will be the speaker for the week. We are looking forward to it! When we get back in YWAM Charlotte we will be hosting the DTS Workshop. This is where we have staff from a number of bases on the East Coast come here for training. Then in September our DTS starts. Coming November, I will fly to the Philippines to teach in the DTS in Butuan and the following week I will fly to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to teach in their DTS. Then in January we (Haydee and I) will be leading the DTS outreach team to the Philippines along with our kids! So with all of our travel coming up, we have a lot of additional costs. Would you give toward our coming travel? You can do so by CLICKING HERE. Thank you for all of you who support us financially and/or pray for us. There is no way we could do what we do without you! With thankful hearts, Campbell Family Prayer Points: - Safe travel and good health as we drive for the next 3 weeks. - When I speak in Maryland this Sunday (July 22) and also in Forest Cliff Camp (July 29 to August 3) - We will have more students for our coming DTS in Charlotte. Since our last communication, a lot has happened. We graduated our Fall Discipleship Training School (DTS) and Haydee and I both spoke at the Filipino International Community Church. We are also prepping for what is coming this summer. Next week we will have “The Gathering” where we will have 5 or more different YWAM locations bring their schools here for a week-long teaching on Lordship. Excited for what the Lord has in store for all of us. For sure we will all be challenged and encouraged. On May 18, as a family, we will make our way to Maryland to join River of Life’s 20th year anniversary. We are looking forward to our time together of fellowship, worship and reflecting on what God has done there! It is really an awesome story. Coming July, we are headed to Forest Cliff Camp in Ontario, Canada! I will be sharing for the week while our kids are joining the camp. Michaella will be a counselor in training (CIT) while the boys will be campers. We are looking forward to serving and at the same time have some fun! Also, in the past few weeks, I received invitations to teach in DTSs in Butuan, Philippines and Phnom Penh, Cambodia in November! Thank you for all of you who partner and support us financially and/or pray for us. We are so grateful for friends like you. With thankful hearts, Campbell Family Prayer Points: - Our travel this Summer. Pray for divine appointments and safety. - Haydee will be speaking on Mother’s Day in the Filipino Church. Pray that the Word she shares will be an encouragement to all. - More students in our Fall DTS.
Since the New Year we have had lots going on! Haydee took a trip to Israel! There she met with friends of hers. One is a Filipina who is a childhood friend and a former DTS student and a Swiss missionary who used to be a missionary in the Philippines! It was awesome to meet and encourage friends.
We both have had a dream to visit Israel. The middle of last year through a friend and a Filipino church in Spain, the dream came to pass for Haydee. We had to pay about half of what it usually cost for a tour of Israel. Also, Haydee made new friends who live in Spain and Israel. We know it was a God connection and look forward to what will come to pass in the future. If you like to see pictures CLICK HERE. Back in Charlotte, we have had our DTS on outreach in Cambodia. They have had an awesome time working with a church there and reaching out the children in many ways. They will be back March 5. Our next DTS starts April 2. Next week we will be hosting the leaders of the International DTS Centre for North America. Thank you for all of you who support us financially and/or pray for us. There is no way we could do what we do without you! With thankful hearts, Campbell Family Prayer Points: - Wisdom and grace as we homeschool - We will get more students for our April DTS - We as YWAM Charlotte will clearly hear from God |
